this Sewing machine is in good to great condition for it's age and most of the original paint is intact. The chrome sewing plate is in good condition. The motor is in good condition for what little I ran it, it sounded good. The machine "appeared" to operated correctly & store smoothly. The electric cord on this machine is in ok condition but probably should be replaced. I personally do not sew so I cannot answer that question about if this machine will need any maintenance or not.The Original foot pedal is in fair to good condition & it works but the electric cord will probably need to be replaced.
